J.P. Catches a Ballgame!

J.P. travelled with me, Julie Pioter, and my boyfriend Aaron to St. Louis, Missouri. While there, we took J.P. to a Cardinals baseball game. Even though the Cardinals lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks, J.P. still had a great time. The Cardinals play in Busch Stadium, located at latitude 38.622, longitude -90.193. We travelled 240.8 miles together by car, and I think J.P. had his head out the window most of the time! J.P. has now travelled 1991.8 miles in his three trips, and he's ready to hit the road again!

JP and JM go to Birmingham!!

September 18th through 20th JP traveled with me, Jenny McClure, to Birmingham, Alabama. Together, we traveled a total of 1055 miles by car. We stopped in Nashville, TN and Huntsville, AL along the way. In Birmingham, we went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). UAB is located at 33.75 degrees North and 86.75 degrees West. The pictures of JP were taken at a rest stop on I-65 just outside of Birmingham. I-65 is one of the Blue Star Memorial Highways. It is one of several memorial highways that pay tribute to the United States armed forces. I thought that would be a nice place for a photo op. :) JP has now traveled a total of 1751 miles in only two trips!

Bible Daze - September 13, 2008 Andrea Saltzman

Longitude -84.783356, Latitude 39.086243

We traveled 696 miles total- 5 hours 22 minutes to Petersburg, Ky to the Creation Museum. I traveled with my friends: Marah, Dylan, Tanner, baby Canaan, and their parents Andrea and Shaun(I took a family picture for them that I included). We really had a grand adventure as you will see in our many pictures.

This 70,000 square foot museum brought the pages of the Bible to life. We took the “walk through history” of the Bible and spent some time with Adam and Eve and Noah and checked out the Ark, saw murals and realistic scenery, were amazed by the computer-generated visual effects, and we even visited the petting zoo(It was really cool to see a half zebra and half donkey!). There were also life-sized people and dinosaur animatronics (a little scary for a dog of my stature, but I couldn't resist asking for a ride) and we went to a special-effects theater complete with misty sea breezes and rumbling seats!
